Captain Jim was awesome and knowledgeable. Started off a bit slow, so me moved, and landed some good sized Reds. Boat performed as it should. Appeared to be closely maintained. Deck hand was of great help. Would definitely used Rock N Roll Charters in the future. Spoke with Captain Jim about taking some family out for Dolphin watching trips as well

​We had an incredible time with Captain Jimbo at Rock and Roll Charters! I took the family out and it was easily the highlight of our trip. The kids had an absolute blast, the energy was great, and we caught some awesome fish. If you're looking for a professional guide who knows how to make sure everyone has a good time, this is the one. Had an absolutely fantastic time fishing with Captain Jim on Galveston Bay! From start to finish, the trip was first class. Captain Jim was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great experience out on the water. The fishing was outstanding — we caught some beautiful speckled trout and flounder, and Captain Jim knew exactly where to put us on the fish. His boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and you could really tell he takes pride in what he does. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or just looking for a fun day on the bay, I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Jim. We made great memories and can’t wait to go back out again!

Great trip with Captain Jim put me right on the fish caught two very big Reds

I was impressed arriving at the marina. Boat is right next to the entrance. I have a nerve disease and was helped onto the boat. Jim guided us out of the marina and made sure everyone was comfortable before getting up on a plane out to the ship channel spot. We were setting up for Reds. Matt baited my hook and set the rod. It was a left handed rod I handed off to another in the group. She hauled in a monster Red. Second rig hit, and it was my turn. Another huge Red. Third hook hit, and another guest pulled in, you guessed it, another enormous Red. All inside of an hour. We moved over to the Coast Gaurd station to fish the banks. Wind was up, and not much bit. We fished til the sun was setting. An incredible fishing trip. Captain Jim is a knowledgeable and knows the spots to land whatever you are looking for. His deckhand, Matt, did an incredible job helping me out and baiting my hook every time since my fingers don't work well. We fried up the fish over the weekend. It was anazing. Rock N Roll Charters is a superior fishing trip. I can't wait to go out again. Everyone had an amazing time.

Captain Jim and Eloy made the trip unforgettable. My 9-year-old was set up to catch fish right away, and the adults were too. They brought us to a few different spots so we could target a mix of species, with trout being the highlight of the day. They were just as fired up as we were every time a rod bent. I’ll definitely be back. I can’t recommend Captain Jim enough, especially if you’re bringing kids.

Captain Jim and Eloy made the trip memorable. My 9-year-old was set up to catch fish right away, and the adults were too. They moved us around to different spots so we could target a mix of species, but trout ended up being the highlight of the day. Their energy matched ours every time a rod bent. Captain Jim and Eloy made our trip outstanding. My 9-year-old was set up to catch fish right away, and the adults were taken care of just the same. They brought us to a few different spots to give us the best chance at variety, with trout being the highlight of the day. Their energy matched ours every time a fish came over the rail. We landed the biggest fish we’ve ever caught! The bay was busy and the water was choppy, so we didn’t get any table fish, but Captain Jim went above and beyond to make sure we hooked into some monsters. It was an awesome experience for five wild guys on a boys trip. Eloy, the first mate, was super knowledgeable, helpful, and kept us laughing the whole time. Both guys were a blast to fish with—10/10 all around. We’ll definitely be back!

We landed the biggest fish we’ve ever caught. The bay was busy and the water was choppy, so table fish were tough, but Captain Jim still made sure we hooked into some huge ones. It turned into an unforgettable day for five guys on a boys’ trip. Eloy was dialed in and helpful the whole way, and both of them kept us laughing. We’ll be back for sure.

We brought our 9- and 6-year-old kids along, and the crew went above and beyond to keep them engaged and having fun. The weather was rough, which made fishing a challenge, but we still managed to catch some fish. The crew worked hard the entire time, constantly adjusting lines and adapting to the shifting wind and boat movement. Their effort and attitude really stood out. It was a great experience overall, and we’d absolutely recommend them—especially for families with kids!
